Two persons from the North Leeward Community of Chateaubelair are dead following an incident which occurred there on the weekend.

Police say Shadine Johnson, a 35-year-old Store Clerk died yesterday, after she sustained chopped wounds about her body about 7:30a.m,

She was pronounced dead at the Chateaubelair Health Centre approximately 9:10 a.m.

Keno Franklyn, who inflicted the chop wounds on the deceased, died at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital about 9:40 p.m., after he reportedly consumed a poisonous substance.

A postmortem examination is expected to be performed on the bodies.
