The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) is reminding Vincentians to ensure that they are adequately prepared for the current Hurricane Season.
This reminder was issued by Director of NEMO, Howie Prince, who said the Hurricane Season runs from June 1st to November 30th.
Mr. Prince said to date there have been three named storms and while none of them has affected St. Vincent and the Grenadines, people must still ensure that they are prepared.
Mr. Prince said preparation is not supposed to begin when a storm is approaching but ahead of that time.
He is also encouraging households to develop their own Family Emergency Plans.
