St. Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to have half of its energy needs met from home-grown Geothermal sources by the end of 2018.
Prime Minister Dr.Ralph Gonsalves expressed confidence that this target would be achieved, during the Ask the Prime Minister Programme aired on NBC Radio last Thursday.
The Prime Minster said the move towards Geothermal Energy is part of the Government’s ongoing thrust to improve the competitiveness of the national economy.
The Prime Minister said significant progress is also being made in relation to improving access to other forms of renewable energy
