Open, Fair and Honest Electoral Office

Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has reiterated that St. Vincent and the Grenadines has an open, fair and honest Electoral Office.

He made this statement at a News Conference last week, during which he reiterated that as preparations continue here for the upcoming General
Elections, the Electoral Office has announced that the new Voters’ List will be published by the middle of August.

The Prime Minister also reiterated that the Office has decided not to suspend registration in the fifteen constituencies nationwide, for the period August 3rd to September 4th.

Prime Minister Gonsalves also highlighted the Government and Opposition’s confidence in the Supervisor of Elections and the Staff at the Electoral Office.

Prime Minister Gonsalves said the new Voters’ List will reflect the names of persons who were registered as voters between 01st June, 2005 and 31st July, 2015.

He said a period has also been set aside to have the process of corrections addressed on the list of names.
