St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Republic of China on Taiwan are continuing to deepen the relations between both countries.

This comes as youths from St. Vincent and the Grenadines held discussions with sixteen Youth Ambassadors from Taiwan last evening focusing on the Topic “Youth and National Sustainable Development”.

The program formed part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the Republic of China on Taiwan International Youth Ambassadors Exchange program which commenced in 2009.

The theme of this year’s program is “Youth from Taiwan Compassion for all.” It comprises one hundred and sixty College and University students from Taiwan which have been divided into ten groups visiting forty-one cities in thirty countries.

The Ambassadors are visiting regions such as the Asia Pacific, West Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean, where they are attending meetings and seminars and giving performances which combine the dance and music of Taiwan.

Speaking at the opening of the program last evening Taiwanese Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Bau-Shaun Ger said they are pleased to have the Youth Ambassadors in SVG to deepen relations and exchange aspects of culture among other things.
