Three residents of Fancy were charged on Tuesday 11th, November with causing the death of seven of their fellow villagers in a tragic accident at Rock Gutter, on January 12th, 2015.
Police says Ehud Myers, a 67-year old Pastor; Colbert Bowens, a 51-year-old Principal; and Davanan Nanton, a 36-year-old chauffeur; were jointly charged with causing the death of Racquel Ashton, Chan-stacia Stay, Glenroy Michael, Jamall and Jamali Edwards, Simonique Ballantyne and Anique Alexander.
The men received bail in the sum of EC$20,000 with one surety following the conclusion of the recent Coroner’s Inquest into the deaths. The bail conditions will continue.
The three are expected to return to the Serious Offences Court on January 21st, 2016, for their next court hearing.
