First Plane Land At Argyle International Airport

The Argyle International Airport is shaping up to be a modern landmark structure in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

That’s the view of officials who were on hand yesterday to witness the test landing of four aircrafts yesterday afternoon.

The test landing was a requirement of the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority ECCAA, the Eastern Caribbean Regulatory Body for Civil Aviation

Director General of the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority, Donald McPhail said the Authority has been working with the Government with the construction of the Airport.

Meanwhile, Senior Pilot Jonathan Palmer, who operated one of the flights said the landing was routine and there’s nothing to worry about.

And Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said it was a magnificent and emotional day for him.

He said from all reports the test flights were successful.
