Former Chief Liaison Officer of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, Joseph “Burns” Bonadie says the Canada/Caribbean Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme has come a long way since its inception.

He made this statement yesterday afternoon during the opening of the 2015 Annual Review Meeting of the Canada/Caribbean Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme held at the Official Residence of the Prime Minister.

The meeting brings together delegates from the seven OECS countries, as well as Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago to chart the way forward for the Canada/Caribbean Seasonal Agricultural Workers Programme, which employs hundreds of Vincentians and other Caribbean Nationals.

Mr. Bonadie says he believes in the potential of the program for the enhancement of lives throughout the region as he outlined that more Vincentians are continuing to benefit from it.
