The North East Football League plans to hold the 2016 Football Championships between July and November, and says that the announcement by the Georgetown Area Sports Association (GASA) to hold a Football Championship at the same time is aimed at creating rivalry, and undermining the work of the North East Football League which has been organizing the Football Championship in the Georgetown Area for a number of years.
Last week, the Georgetown Area Sports Association announced its Sports Calendar for July to November this year, including Softball Cricket, Table Tennis, Swimming, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Athletics and Rugby.
