Suriname defeated St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2-1 in their Cup Football Union’s (CFU) Caribbean Cup second round match at Paramaribo in Suriname on Saturday afternoon.
Melvin VA-LIES and Mitchell KI-SOOR scored a goal each for Suriname. Myron Samuel converted for St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the 75th minute.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ next match in the Championship will be tomorrow afternoon at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex here against St. Kitts/Nevis.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and St. Kitts/Nevis are in Group (5) of the Championship. The top two teams will advance to the next round.
