The first session of Team Athletics SVG’s 2016 Summer Programme began at Mt. Young on Monday under Athletics coach, Rawlson Morgan, and will run until Friday.
Other Sessions will be held at Park Hill, Biabou and Petit Bordel between 2nd and 5th of next month from 9 am to 1 pm, with the final session in Kingstown from 8th to 12th August.
The sessions will focus on running, jumping and throwing events.
Team Athletics SVG said the session are aimed at enabling participants to: better their ABC skills and fundamental movements; understand the basic rules and ethics of Track and Field; gain knowledge about techniques of Athletics; adjust techniques in the different events that will aid in improved performances; value participation in Athletics; and apply leadership skills related to Athletics.
