The Richmond Vale Academy (RVA) will be staging a Community Farmers’ Market this Saturday July 30th at Mission Corner in Chateaubelair.
Teacher at the Academy, Selwyn Patterson spoke of the initiative during the Interface programme aired on NBC Radio July 26th.
Mr. Patterson said it is intended to give farmers in the surrounding communities an opportunity to sell their produce in a centralized location.
Student at the Academy, Johnny Munoz Aristizabal, said the initiative provides an opportunity for greater interaction between farmers and consumers.
