A one week training workshop on Chronic Diseases Self-Management will take place from September 26th to 30th in Bequia.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment is partnering with the Pan American Health Organization to strengthen the response to the rising scourge of non-communicable diseases in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
The facilitators of the workshop will be Dr. Tomo Kanda, PAHO Advisor on Chronic Diseases and Mental Health and Rosemary Muckett, Community Nutrition Officer in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment.
The workshop will focus on three major skills relating to chronic diseases which include action planning, decision making and problem solving. The participants for the workshop will be drawn from Bequia, Canouan and Union Island.
