Julian Francis, Minister of Transport and Works said the Fenton/Belair bypass road remains an issue of high priority for the government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
He made the point while responding to a question in Parliament on Friday in relation to the expected date of commencement of the project.
Minister Francis said the necessary studies have been conducted and work is expected to begin upon completion of the tendering process.
He also noted that an extensive road repair programme will be conducted in Central Kingstown in the New Year.
