The official launch of this year’s Christmas and Nine Mornings Festival which was scheduled to take place this Sunday December 4th, has been postponed.
Michael Peters, Chairman of the SVG Nine Mornings Committee said they were forced to reschedule the launch to Sunday December 11th following a number of holdups which includes the passage of the Trough System earlier this week.
Mr. Peters said the preparations have also been hampered because they have not yet received all the finances to make the festival a reality. He noted that they are continuing to work assiduously to ensure that this is the most successful year for the Christmas and Nine Mornings Festival.
He said they have also included a number of new incentives to ensure that this year is a huge success. Some of these incentives are different competitions such as best community song, they have also expanded the lighting competition and they increased the prizes in different areas.
