St. Vincent and the Grenadines is currently making preparations to send a local delegation to this year’s CARIFESTA.
The Caribbean Festival of Arts (CARIFESTA) is a roving multi-disciplinary art festival which has been held in various CARICOM countries since its establishment in 1972.
Anthony Theobalds, Chief Cultural Officer, told NBC News thus far plans have been progressing well for CARIFESTA thirteen which takes place in Barbados from August 17th to the 26th and they have already shipped a number of items to Barbados which will be used as part of their presentation.
Mr. Theobalds said CARIFESTA is now a major marketplace where business people meet to network while they also promote businesses and the creative and cultural industries of the region.
He added that the CARIFESTA team this year will be led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), Ashford Wood.
