A four member panel will address issues relating to the Regional Economy at a Panel Discussion, hosted by the Department of Economics of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.

The discussion this evening, will focus on the topic: Flight of the Bumble Bee: The Turning Point for a Delicate Economy

The goal of the forum is to provide the public with access to the views, research and opinions of leading thinkers on economic issues in the Eastern Caribbean.

It will also seek to enhance the knowledge of the public in relation to issues surrounding economic development, and the Department is also hoping it could contribute to discussions around policy formulation in the Caribbean.

The discussion will draw on Vincentian nationals living at home as well as those from the Diaspora.

The panel will comprise Director of Planning, Laura Anthony-Browne; Dr. Ankie Scott-Joseph of the UWI Cave Hill Campus; Shernnel Thompson of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, St. Kitts and Ronald James of the Caribbean Development Bank in Barbados

The Panel Discussion takes place at the Methodist Church Hall, in Kingstown from seven this evening.
