Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has spoken to the importance of celebrating the achievements of young people as they become important contributors to the country’s growth and development.
The Prime Minister was delivering an address at the National Sports Awards held last Saturday night at the SVG Community College Auditorium.
He said the Government will continue to place major emphasis on the development of young people in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The National Sports Council hosted the Awards Ceremony on Saturday night in collaboration with the National Lotteries Authority.
Awards were presented to the Junior and Senior Sportswoman; Junior and Senior Sports Man; Coach of the year and Association of the year.
