Twenty Female calypsonians are expected to comopete in the preliminary round of the 2018 Queen Of Calypso competition, which is set to take place tonight, at the CDC Office at the Victoria Park.
The Final of the competition is slated for Friday June 8th at the Russell’s Auditorium.
President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Calypsonians Association, Earl Caba Bennett, said tonight’s preliminary event is expected to be very competitive and noted that the standard of the Calypsoes is very high.
He said the Calypsonians will be performing live for one of the fifteen places in the finals.
