The Government Printery of SVG has upgraded its printing equipment by installing state of the art equipment, to facilitate the delivery of a high quality public service to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,

The new printing equipment includes an industrial high speed colour printer, industrial B&W/colour printers, commercial colour printer/copier, industrial twin head stapling machine and other items.

The Government Printery plays a central role in the efficient operation of the Government service. It is responsible for supplying all government departments and ministries with high quality documents, sometimes, within a very short timeframe.

Therefore, in order to improve the service, the Government launched a phased upgrade project of the Printery under the Civic Development Programme – the bi-lateral co-operation programme between the Government of SVG and the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Recognizing the importance of the project, the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) allocated $500,000.00 to fund it.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan established diplomatic ties in 1981. And, the Embassy of the Republic of China on Taiwan said the Government and People of Taiwan deeply appreciate the staunch support given by St. Vincent and the Grenadines in various international fora and look forward to strengthening the bonds.

Government Printer, Mr. Richard Ollivierre demonstrated the function of the newly-installed industrial high speed colour printer.
