The Retreat Clinic, Vermont and the Little Eagles Pre-School also located in the Vermont Valley, yesterday received a quantity of medical supplies/furniture from the Michael. A. Johnson Foundation.
The supplies include, a blood-pressure machine, gloves, surgical masks, a medical chair, crutches and small tables for the pre-school among others. The care packages also include children’s shoes and clothing.
Both the Staff Nurse at the Retreat Clinic, Hartie Johnson and head of the Little Eagle pre-school Bianca Penniston, expressed gratitude for the supplies which will be use for the benefit of the people in the area.
The MAJ Foundation is the brainchild of Michael Johnson of Penniston, who now resides in the USA.
Johnsons said in a media release that the initiative is just the second phase in the foundation’s programme. Several other community outreach projects are also planned.
