The first Vincentian Diaspora Leadership Symposium was held in the United Kingdom last weekend, to discuss plans for the hosting of an Expo as part of activities to celebrate this country’s 40th Anniversary of Independence.
The Symposium was attended by Vincentian Diaspora members including the Chairman of the National Council for St. Vincent & the Grenadines UK Associations, Vincy Alliance Mas and SV2G – St. Vincent & the Grenadines 2nd Generation.
SV2G has been involved in many significant heritage projects and their work has been showcased at the Palace of Westminster in the UK.
Following last weekend’s symposium, a framework has been established, for the forthcoming SVG40 Expo, to be held in the UK on the 9th November 2019.
The Expo is expected to feature Vincentian businesses, with the aim of generating increased interest in Vincentian merchandise, heritage, arts and culture.
