Police have arrested and jointly charged Jemroy Phillips, a 23 year old Fisherman of Rillian Hill and Roland Cato a 20 years old Labourer of Ratho Mill with the offence of Theft.

According to investigations, the accused men allegedly stole one (1) black Knapsack valued at US$20.00, containing a quantity of items valued at $1,850.00 pound), $2,600.00 in Cambodian currency, US$250.00, $100.00 Turkish Currency and EC$40.00. The cash stolen was the property of a 27 year old Medical Doctor of Slovenia. The incident occurred at Canash Beach on Wednesday.

Phillips and Cato appeared before the Magistrate Court yesterday to answer the charges.

Police have arrested and jointly charged Les Warren, a 21 years old Labourer of Lowmans Leeward and Gerald Tash, a 27 years old Labourer of Calder with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

According to investigations, the accused men were allegedly met in possession of one (1) Glock 19.9mm pistol and sixteen (16) rounds of 9mm ammunition without a license issued under the Firearms Act. The incident occurred at Lowmans Leeward Tuesday.

Warren and Tash appeared before the Serious Offences Court yesterday, to answer the charges.
