A Workshop for Community Leaders which has been organized by the Ministry of National Mobilization in collaboration with the Community Disaster Risk Reduction Fund, is continuing today.
It focuses on a range of topics including: the Core Functions of Community Based Organizations and one of it’s main focus is to improve Inclusive Disaster Risk Management through Strengthened Community Based Organizations.
Minister of National Mobilization and Social Development, Frederick Stephenson, was among Officials who addressed the opening ceremony at the Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday.
The Minister said the Government is continuing to look at ways of mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Chairman of the Community Disaster Risk Reduction Fund, Matthew Straub, said the Canadian Government will continue to provide the necessary support to address Climate Change issues.
