The Garifuna Heritage Foundation will unveil its activities for National Heroes and Heritage Month, at a Media Briefing today.
The activities planned include the 7th International Garifuna Conference, to be hosted here next month.
This year’s Conference will be held with the theme: Indigenous Caribbean-Rethinking a Strategic Direction for Reviving Garifuna Heritage and Culture through Education.
Other activities to be hosted by the Foundation include the 6th Annual Schools’ Garifuna Folk Festival and History Expo, an Exhibition on Indigenous Art, Craft and Artefacts and a number of Workshops.
Today’s Media Briefing will be held at the Headquarters of the Alliance Francaise in the old Public Library building, commencing at 9:00 a.m.
