Trinbago Knight Riders defeated Barbados Royals

Trinbago Knight Riders had the better of Barbados Royals beating them by 6 wickets with 19 balls remaining in their Caribbean Premier League match yesterday morning at Warner Park, St Kitts and Nevis.

Trinbago Knight Riders who won the toss and fielded first, restricted Barbados Royals to 93-9 off 20 overs. Opener, Kyle Mayers with 24 off 12 balls with 4 fours and 1 six was top-scorer. Left-arm, leg-spinner, Khary Pierre took 3-16, and there were two wickets each for left-arm, leg-spinner, Akeal Hosein (2-13), who was used to open the bowling for Trinbago Knight Riders; off-spinner, Sunil Narine (2-30) and fast bowler, Jayden Seales (2-12).

Trinbago Knight Riders achieved victory at 99-4 off 16.5 overs. Colin Murray led their scoring with 41 not out off 47 balls with 4 fours and 1 six.

For Barbados Royals, left-arm, fast bowler, Mohammad Amir took 2-19, and left-arm, leg-spinner, Joshua Bishop had 2-29.
