Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has made a call for more to be done to address the issue of hunger and food security.
Dr. Gonsalves made the call, as he addressed the Virtual Food System Summit of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday.
During his presentation, the Prime Minister called on all stakeholders, especially those in the agricultural sector, to join forces to eradicate hunger.
The UN Food Systems Summit was held virtually during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, under the leadership of UN Secretary-General António Guterres
The Summit was intended to serve as an opportunity to empower all people to leverage the power of food systems to drive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and get countries back on track to achieve all 17 Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
