Taiwan donates over 100 tons of rice to aid in Hurricane Beryl Recovery

Tiawan rice donations

This country has received a donation of more than 100 tons of rice from the government and people of the Republic of China and Taiwan, as part of efforts to assist in the recovery from the impacts of hurricane Beryl.

 

Speaking with the API, Taiwan’s Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines Her Excellency Fiona Fan said the donation is a symbol of

Taiwan’s love and friendship for the people of this country.

The rice will be distributed jointly by the Ministries of National Mobilization and Agriculture.

And, Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar said Hurricane Beryl significantly impacted this country’s food security and thanked the government and people of Taiwan for their kind donation.
