St. Vincent Grammar and West St. George advance to the finals of the Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championship.

In yesterday’s Semi-finals of the Secondary Schools Table Tennis Championships at the Girls Guide Headquarters at Kingstown Park, the St Vincent Grammar School defeated the Bequia Community High School 3-0 after Terrance Ashton beat Jordon Williams 11-2, 11-0, Macahlie Hazelwood defeated Glenrick Hazell 11-7, 11-7, and Jakeim John won from Xontea Shortte 6-11, 11-4, 14-12.

 

West St George Secondary defeated Troumaca- Ontario Secondary School 3-2. Zayden Cyrus of West St George beat Juvante Baptiste 11-4, 11-5. Joshua Simmons got the better of Olijah Corke 5-11, 16-14, 11-6; Malachi Bascome won from Gosron Samuel 12-10, 11-8; Zayden Cyrus beat Joshua Simmons 11-6, 5-11, 11-5, and Juvante Baptiste defeated Olijah Corke 5-11, 11-8, 11-6.

 

In the Girls Open Singles Semi-finals, Louhkya Primraj of the Girls High School beat Denece Baptiste 11-2, 11-1; Myra Laborde beat Zefia Lett 11-4, 4-11, 11-6.

 

In the Boys Open Singles Semi-finals, Zayden Cyrus of Troumaca-Ontario Secondary defeated Macahlie Hazelwood of the St. Vincent Grammar School 5-11, 11-4, 11-9, 11-8; and Malachi Bascombe of West St George Secondary won from Oran-Jay Williams of Thomas Saunders Secondary 11-4, 11-7, 11-7

 

Tomorrow, the Primary Schools Open Singles Final and the Teams Semi-finals will take place at 10.00 a. m at the Girl Guides Headquarters at Kingstown Park.
