Vincentian, Shafiqua Maloney launched her 2025 Indoor Season with a remarkable start.
She secured two first-place finishes in the Women’s mile in which she clocked an impressive time of 4 minutes, 42.39 seconds to claim the top position at the Arkansas Invitational.
Even more astonishing was her victory in the Women’s 600 metres in which she set a national record of 1 minute, 24.60 seconds, surpassing her previous best of 1 minute, 27.45.
The achievement places her as the number 10 performer of all time for that distance.
Following her outstanding season last year which included a 4th place finish at the Paris Olympics, Maloney is off to an exhilarating start in 2025.
