As the Spiritual Baptist fraternity prepares to celebrate their first National Holiday, Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves has issued a reminder of what he describes as many of the taints of the past, even while celebrating the work of those of the present.
Speaking on radio yesterday, Prime Minister Gonsalves remembered many of the leaders of the Spiritual Baptist faith.
He said there are two figures who were very critical in the development of the faith nationally.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said there is a spiritual Baptist church in about every community in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
He also spoke of the influence of women in the church.
