Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves his made another appeal for more regional Governments to invest in the regional Airline LIAT.
Speaking at yesterday’s News Conference, Dr. Gonsalves, who is also the Chairman of the Shareholder Governments, says that the region recognises the value of the airline, and should make a decision to invest in sustaining it
The Prime Minister says he is fully aware of the challenge faced by LIAT and the necessity for increased efficiency in its operations
Dr. Gonsalves said a Shareholders Meeting in Barbados last week re-confirmed all of the decisions made at the previous meeting in February.
The meeting was attended by main shareholder governments Antigua/Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
