The training and sensitization components of the Banana Accompanying Measures BAM project are now the major focus of attention, as the Ministry of Agriculture winds up activities for this year.

The BAM project, which is being funded by the European Union, is geared towards the modernization and development of this country’s Agricultural sector.

Communications Consultant for the BAM, Kendol Morgan says the project is focusing mainly on Bananas, but also on livestock, fruits   and vegetables, youth in agriculture, marketing and infrastructure.

He says in recent months several activities have been taking place in support of Bananas.

Mr. Morgan says exciting plans in place for ongoing implementation of the BAM project next year, including work on feeder roads across the country.
