Minister of Agriculture Saboto Ceasar said the disruption in electricity as a result of excessive lightning strikes during the Christmas Eve storm, has negatively affected the local poultry production.
Speaking at a Media Conference on Monday, Minister Ceasar said the electricity outages severely disrupted production at the Government Hatchery at Dumbarton.
He however assured that the Ministry will be making a concerted effort to ensure the availability of locally produced chicken to service the local market.
