More than sixty residents in the Buccument community have received refrigerators, stoves and mattresses, one month after losing their possessions during the severe weather in December last year.

The distribution followed a commitment given by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves to help the affected persons to get back on their feet.During Friday’s distribution area representative Maxwell Charles said he is extremely proud to be a part of the distribution.

Minister Charles said persons who lost their homes in cane grove will be relocated to acres corner in Buccument.

Meanwhile RUBIS St. Vincent limited have also been doing their part to assist with relief efforts, Country Representative for RUBIS Elroy Edwards said the company will be donating a substantial amount of gas cylinders to the affected households.
