This was revealed by Agricultural Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture, Allan Williams.
He said that they are optimistic about the future of Nation’s Bee Keeping sector, following a meeting which was held earlier this week involving members and non-members of the SVG Bee Keepers Association

Mr. Williams said seventeen Farmers who are involved in Bee Keeping were among those in attendance at this week’s meeting and plans are being put in motion for the development of apiculture here.
He said they are also seeking to export up to forty percent of the Honey which is produced locally to regional and international markets this year.
He said they are also hoping to Import Honey Bees which can be bred for resale.
