Minister of Social Development, Frederick Stephenson has made an appeal to members of the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors SVG Committee to work assiduously in ensuring that they assist in the development of this country and the entire region.
He made this appeal during Saturday’s Initiation Ceremony for twenty-six members of the Committee.
Minister Stephenson said the nation and the rest of the region continue to face a number of challenges in their quest for development and he reminded the new committee members that it is their duty to assist in finding solutions to the issues which affect the region.
Meanwhile CARICOM Youth Ambassador for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Tamira Browne reiterated the importance of having youth involvement in matters of development.
She said this is a key ingredient as CARICOM continues to evolve.
