Representatives from the Windward Island Farmers Association said one of their main areas of focus during this year will be to encourage more youths to seek employment within the Agricultural sector.
This was highlighted by Co-ordinator of the Windward Island Farmers Association (WINFA), Cozel Peters-Fraser, who said this is important as they seek to ensure the longevity of the nation’s Agricultural industry.
Mrs. Peters-Fraser said these youth programs will be held while they continue to work towards the revitalization of the Banana Industry.
She said they will also be conducting work focused on Climate change and food security while working with agro-processors to develop this sector further.
