An appeal has been made for the local business sector to partner with the Government to revolutionize the local ICT landscape.

Minster of Information and Communication Technology, Camillo Gonsalves made the appeal as he delivered an address at the opening of an ICT Expo, held at Heritage Square yesterday, to mark World Telecommunications and Information Society Day.

Minister Gonsalves said one of the fundamental infrastructural requirements for St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a capable, fast responsive Broadband Network.

Several Business Entities showcased their products at Heritage Square yesterday at the National ICT Expo, which was held under the theme “Broadband for Sustainable Development”.

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is observed annually to raise awareness on the possibilities which the use of the Internet and other Information and Communication Technologies can bring to societies and economies.
