A senior official in the Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment has emphasized the importance of biodiversity in mitigating against the impact of climate change.
The point was made by Acting Senior Environmental Health Officer Todd Lewis, as St. Vincent and the Grenadines prepares to observe International Day of Biological Diversity this week.
To commemorate the day, an Exhibition will be put on by the Environmental Management Department in the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment on Thursday May 22nd.
Mr. Lewis noted that biodiversity should be of concern to all sectors of the population, since it is closely linked to climate change.
