West Indies won the toss this morning and decided to bat first closed the 1st Day of the 3rd and Final Sir Vivian Richards Trophy, Cricket Test match against South Africa on 276 for 6 at Newlands Cape Town, South Africa today.

West Indies at stumps on Day (1) 276 for 6; Leon Johnson 54, Captain Denesh Ramdin 53, Devon Smith 47, Jermaine Blackwood 45 not out Marlon Samuels 43. Debutant right-arm off-spinner, Simon Harmer has taken 3 for 50, while fast bowler, Dale Steyn took 2 for 59 and Stiann van Zyl had one for 13.

South Africa lead the 3-match Series 1-nil, having won the 1st Test by an innings and 220 runs at Superport Park in Centurion and the 2nd Test at St. George’s Park in Port Elizabeth was drawn.
