Police and Coastguard officials are reported to be searching the waters in the area of Rock Gutter in Owia for possible survivors of an accident which occurred early this morning.
Reports indicate that a van, carrying several school children and other passengers was travelling from Fancy to Kingstown when it overturned and went into the sea.
The accident is alleged to have taken place around seven this morning.
Eye witnesses indicate that the bodies of some of the children have been spotted in the water
