Clarissa Edwards Edwards won from a field of twenty-three contestants at the pageant held at the Hilton Conference Centre in Trinidad.
The pageant, formerly known as Miss Plus Caribbean Universe, has now become a worldwide event, to educate, motivate and promote self-confidence.
The contestants appeared in four categories – Swimwear, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview.
The winner is expected to receive three thousand US dollars; a one-year cosmetology scholarship, a model contract, a trip to a Caribbean island of her choice and other prizes.
