The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be taking steps this year to carry forward the National Geothermal Project.
This assurance came from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, as he presented the 2015 National Budget in Parliament last week.
The Prime Minister said legislation is to be brought to Parliament this year, covering a range of issues relating to the Project.
The Prime Minister said the Government is currently seeking financial and technical support internationally, to lessen the burden of the overall cost of the Geothermal Project.
