Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Ceasar, said the government continues to subsidize the price of fertilizer as part of efforts to boost agricultural production in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
He was speaking in Parliament this morning while contributing to the debate on the 2015 national budget.
Minister Ceasar said every sack of fertilizer sold to local farmers is subsidized by the government to the tune of 20 dollars.
Meanwhile, Minister Ceasar said the Ministry of Agriculture will continue its aerial spraying cycles throughout this year.
