The National Insurance Services (NIS) has said that most of the Van Drivers and Conductors throughout the country are not registered and paying Social Security Contributions.
Executive Director of the NIS, Reginald Thomas tells NBC News that while they have a done a significant amount of work in the past to have these omnibus operators covered under the social security umbrella, more needs to be done in this regard.
He said they will be doing a significant amount of work with these omnibus operators during 2015 as they continue their public outreach campaigns.
Mr. Thomas said they are also facing a number of challenges in registering and receiving Social Security Contributions from persons who are domestically employed.
