
The move is being made, as the Department prepares a series of activities to observe Tax Awareness Month.
Comptroller of Inland Revenue Kelvin Pompey says the Department is putting a number of systems in place to address the issue of low and no compliance as it relates payment of taxes.
Mr. Pompey said the Department is now better equipped to deal with these challenges.
Mr. Pompey said the Department is also facing challenges in relation to the Value Added Tax VAT.
And, he urged consumers to ensure that they receive a receipt when purchasing items.
