Director of Special Projects in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jerrol Thompson says St. Vincent and the Grenadines is poised to become a leader with respect to renewable energy throughout the Caribbean region.
Dr. Thompson was speaking at the start of a Regional Workshop on: Simulation Tools for Energy Efficiency in Caribbean Buildings, which opened here on Tuesday.
He noted that persons need to be made aware of a number of important energy development projects being implemented locally.
The regional workshop is being held as part of a 12-million US dollar Regional Pilot Project, which is being implemented under the Global Environment Facility-United Nations Environment Program.
