Sergeant Atlan Brown of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, is imploring musicians at carnival festivities to be responsible and send a better message.
Speaking on the On The Beat programme last evening, Sergeant Browne said that artistes should be aware of the influence their music has on patrons of carnival festivities. Elaborating on a comment made by a caller, he said that songs with certain lyrics, incite people to become involved in certain negative behavior.
He added that Vincentian musicians have to always keep in mind that their lyrics send a message and that they are promoting this country.
