The Fisheries Division is appealing to Fisherfolk to utilize the Fish Aggregating Devices or FADS which have been implemented to improve their fishing yields.
Senior Fisheries Officer, Chris Isaacs said the fisheries division recognizes that being a Fisherman is a costly exercise and also outlined how the FADS work.
Mr. Isaacs is also appealing to fisher folk throughout the country to contact the Fisheries Division to know the location of the FADS which have been implemented to improve their fishing yields.
This year the fisheries division hosted forty days of activities to observe the 40th Anniversary of the program from April 18th to May 25th under the theme “Forty Years of Harvest, accept no less, Fish is the best” and the slogan “Put a Fish on Your Dish”.
